ABOUT CLAUDIA LUCAS, MA

Claudia earned a Master’s Degree in Communication from the University of Hawaii, and has taught interpersonal communication both at UH and the University of New Mexico. She is also certified in mediation.

Ms. Lucas ran a successful proposal/grant writing business for 14 years. She taught proposal writing at CNM Workforce Training, and to many area and regional nonprofits over the span of 12 years.

After attending the Art Center Design College, and becoming certified in Interior Redesign by New York designer Lauri Ward. In 2008, Claudia started her design business, Anew Interior Redesign. Ms. Lucas rebranded her business to ‘Claudia Lucas Interiors’ while attending celebrity designer Tobi Fairley’s year-long mastermind program in 2013.

Residential

Claudia’s approach to design is creating rooms that are as practical and comfortable as they are lovely. She works in a variety of design styles. Her specialty is helping clients create spaces that are an invitation to relax, recharge and feel inspired. Wrapping rooms in gorgeous shades of outdoor neutrals with brush strokes of color are inspired by cherished mementos, and favorite accent pieces. Every element comes together beautifully layered in a timeless design aesthetic. It is Claudia’s passion and mission as a designer to see her clients’ style, and preferences tastefully reflected in rooms they will truly love.

Light Commercial

In work environments, Claudia helps clients become more productive and energized by adapting workstations for better ergonomics and health. She also helps redesign offices to improve function, and loves infusing pleasing and inspirational elements into surroundings for the human touch.
